5 Things I Have Learned Being an Entrepreneur

Mindset

Mindset is everything and that goes for every area of our lives. I didn’t even realize how my actions were a reflection of my mindset and how that affected me in business. I was afraid of showing up and sharing my business with the world so I subconsciously sought low risk opportunities. Talk about self sabotage. Learn to reprogram your mind it’s the most powerful thing you can do.

There is no perfect time

You don’t have to wait till everything is perfectly aligned to start. Messy action is better than no action any day of the week but you do have to be committed to the process. Sometimes our procrastination is just masked fear. You learn, tweak and adjust as you go along. As long as you showing up and taking a step forward you are progressing.

The company you keep matters

Yes you are the company you keep. Don’t waste time wondering why your friends or some family members don’t support your business. It’s draining and a fruitless exercise. As you begin to build your business you will meet people that resonate with you and understand your journey because they on the same path. The more you grow the more your circle changes.

It takes time

There is no such thing as an immediate buy yourself a box of success. It takes time, work and commitment. Be consistent and continue to persevere and slowly you will star to see results unfold. There is no way around it, you have to be willing to climb to get to the top and occasionally someone who has gone ahead of you will pull you up.

Your past does not determine your future

Past failure, a fancy education and money is not a prerequisite for a successful future. It is grit, guts and determination that will propel you. The power lies with you and the choices you make. You are the captain of your ship and you determine the direction it will take.
